sweatshirts, and hats for the whole family.
Everyone will love the
majestic scenery and sights Pelee Island provides. Bring the little ones -
they'll love it! All of our Canoes, Kayaks and Paddleboats have room for
the kids.

Pelee's Unique Beauty From The Water
An
easy paddle will take you into Lake Henry where you can explore the peaceful
marsh habitat. This home of the Great Blue Heron, the Red Wing Blackbird,
and several species of turtles and waterfowl was once drained, and provided
fertile farmland. Through the years, flooding returned the area to its
natural state. Flora and fauna flourish in this area which has provided
the background for several rare sightings.
Bring a
lunch and continue on to Lighthouse Point Nature Reserve. Here stands the
ruins of an 1833 limestone lighthouse which was erected to guide vessels through
the Pelee Passage. A beautiful sandy beach is also located here, providing
a great stop for a picnic. A short walk down the beach leads to a trail
which winds through woods, alongside ponds and to more wildlife.
Other paddling options include exploring the Island's North Shore on a visit to
legendary Huldah's Rock and Vin Villa, the ruins of Pelee's original winery,
built in 1886 and destroyed by fire in 1963. You may also enjoy your visit just
playing in the waves.
